FAQ
Everything homeowners ask before booking.
How much does professional Halloween decorating cost in Wisconsin?
Grime Reaper Halloween Haunts starts at $1,495 for our Front Yard Fright package and goes up to $4,995+ for the Estate Haunt. Every price is turn-key — design, install, teardown, and haul-away are all included. Renewal (Haunt Care Plan) pricing starts at $795/year and includes climate-controlled off-season storage.
Is this scary-scary, or fun-scary?
You choose. Our Spook-o-Meter has three levels: Mild (kid-friendly ghosts and pumpkins), Medium (the classic 12-ft skeleton and graveyard), and Spicy (motion animatronics, fog, dramatic lighting). Every level is HOA-safe — theatrical, never gory.
What if a prop breaks or blows over in October?
Every prop is anchored for Wisconsin wind at install. If something still breaks or shifts, Classic Haunt and Estate Haunt tiers include a mid-season service visit. Haunt Care Plan customers get repair visits any time during the run.
Do I have to store the decorations?
No. That's the whole point. We haul everything away November 1–3. Haunt Care Plan customers get climate-controlled storage between seasons — attic storage destroys foam and latex props in about three seasons, so we keep yours in conditioned space and reinstall next October.
Do the decorations run up my electric bill?
Almost nothing. Everything runs on LED lighting and timers, typically 6–7 PM to 10–11 PM. Fog systems and animatronics only activate on motion. Expect a few dollars on your October bill, not a spike.
Can you work within my HOA rules?
Yes. We install regularly in HOA neighborhoods across Lake Country. No gore, no strobes past quiet hours, no oversized signage. Send us your HOA rules with your assessment request and we design around them.
When should I book Halloween decorating?
Book by early September. We assess in August and September, install mid-October, and slots fill first-come. Haunt Care Plan renewals get first-in-line access every June before we open the calendar to new customers.
What areas do you serve?
Lake Country and Waukesha County, Wisconsin — Pewaukee, Delafield, Hartland, Oconomowoc, Chenequa, Merton, Nashotah, Wales, Okauchee, Brookfield, and Elm Grove. Ask about neighboring cities.
Do you also install Christmas lights?
Yes — through our sister brand, Glow Guard Holiday Lighting. Grime Reaper Halloween customers get first-in-line booking and preferred pricing on Christmas light installation, often on the same November 1–3 visit as their Halloween teardown.
Are you insured?
Fully insured. We're a sister brand of Grime Guard Soft Wash, an established Waukesha County exterior-services company. Same crews, same insurance, same standards.
